Most videos you'll see online of this game make it look quite arcadey. But with the difficulty set to hard and the red target markers turned off, it becomes a hardcore urban combat simulator.

The video of the first level is before the game is patched - with awful friendly AI: Squadmates seem to approach corners while walking backwards and I discovered grenade launchers also do not work in vanilla. Be sure to patch to v1.35
