5During this mornings operation we recovered intelligence from the local Taliban leader stating that there will be a troop transport convoy moving through the area later tonight under cover of darkness. The Taliban fighters eliminated early this morning were to provide area security for the convoy and a re-supply of munitions from the weapons cache. {p}Intel: From satellite photos taken about an hour ago, we have learned that an element of Taliban fighters have returned to the area. Photos show the enemy count to be around twenty-five to thirty. {p}Mission: Operation Varsity Block{p}Objective 1: Stop the convoy. We expect some heavy armor escorting the convoy, so pack some AT. The convoy is carrying roughly twenty Taliban soldiers to reinforce the fight in the north against the Northern Alliance forces. {p}Objective 2: Destroy the weapons cache. There has been a good bit of activity around the weapons cache building you Ghosts found this morning. We suspect the area to be guarded by up to six to eight opfor. Eliminate resistance, and demo the cache. {p}Objective 3: Extraction. The MH-47 will arrive to pick you up about half a click down the road. Your insertion zone is where you will be extracted from. Call them when you're ready. {p}*Mission Notes: Visibility is around one hundred-sixty meters with night vision. Be prepared to engage dismounted Taliban fighters from the convoy.
