Imperial Knights are metallic titans who march to war in the name of the Emperor. Unlike the larger titans of the Legio Titanicus, Knights are piloted by a single noble (or, in some cases, a small council) who mentally connects to the machine, becoming one with it. This psychic connection allows the pilot to control the Knight’s complex systems as if they were his own limbs, transforming the machine into an extension of his will.
The Knightly Houses from which the pilots hail are ancient bloodlines with traditions and oaths that stretch back millennia. Each House has its own heraldic colors, insignia, and battle glories, which are proudly displayed on the armor plates of their Knights. They are tireless defenders of Imperial worlds, acting as spearheads in offensives, bulwarks in defenses, or guardians of strategic locations.
Their weaponry is varied and devastating, including battle cannons, fusion weapons, chain saws and missiles, allowing them to take on everything from infantry to heavy vehicles and even other titans. The sight of an Imperial Knight in full charge is breathtaking and, to the enemies of the Imperium, terrifying.
