Note: If you want to play optimally to get all map clear rewards, don't play this map. Go to Cpt. 2 Normal to get all the rewards. If you want to try out all the EX maps though, go ahead and play this map.

This is a very huge map. Despite what you initially see, there are a total of 7 layers in the map: https://i.imgur.com/46ploVo.png. 2 of the 7 layers are pointless, btw, you will never need to access those 2 layers.

But wait, no worries! I'm here to tell you what to do. There are a total of 4 possible positions for the Command Post, and 4 available objectives to complete. Each of these objectives unlocks a particular intel story node. Therefore, if you choose to unlock everything with EX maps, you will need to clear all 4 objectives in 4 separate playthroughs. Note that you can clear any one of the 4 objectives from any of the possible Command Post positions. It's just that each position makes clearing a particular objective much easier.

If you see the Command Post in the layer where the Control Panel is (https://i.imgur.com/WwvizDY.png), this position makes it the easiest to clear the Gathering Frost Wolves objective. This objective is pretty simple: use the Control Panel to activate a layer with warps, and rescue the hostage.

Note: I lost the footage where I started the mission with the Command Post on this layer, and I haven't been able to get the Command Post on this layer ever since. The next best starting point to do this objective is to start at the layer where Architect is. This video does just that. Modify the strats accordingly if you get the Command Post on the Control Panel layer.

To clear this objective, you will need:
- a dummy
- an ARSMG for 1 single fight
- optional (an RFHG if you're too lazy to wait for the Manticores)
- optional (a combat ARSMG if you want to beat up stuff in the Hostage layer)

First, deploy your ARSMG. Defeat the SWAP Jaeger mob and activate the Control Panel. This will activate the Hostage layer. Be careful and pay attention to the Manticore's patrol path! Alternatively, bring an RFHG to beat up the Manticores. It's really not that hard.

Then, in the hostage layer, deploy a dummy. Then, find the right path to the hostage. You can get to the hostage without any combat, this video shows the right pathway to do so. If you like to fight, you can take on the fights with an ARSMG.
