[Girls' Frontline] Lycan Sanctuary Target or Trap EX - Tryhard Attempt
This is the ranking map of Lycan Sanctuary, where you can get a high score but there's no ranking leaderboards at all. So, naturally, no one but me decided to tryhard this map for fun.
The map's layout is simple:
- Daytime map, no turn limit
- 2 doll echelons and 2 coalition echelons allowed, for a total of 4 echelons
- There are a few prespawns with fixed locations, and many more spawns that will appear in random permutations
- The prespawns, however, will always be the same count across attempts
- Almost every node has a portal, where the portal will either throw you to the left bottom or right bottom node at random
- The attempt ends when you kill one of the bottom row prespawns
- Defeating an enemy will give 10% of its CE as score
There are 3 control panels in this map: at the top, left and right side of the map respectively. These control panels will each generate a random number between 0-9. Depending on what number you get, you can:
- Get good battlefield effects
- Get bad battlefield effects (4 removes your dolls' buffs every 8s)
- Gain points
- Lose points (9 makes you lose 10k points)
- Nothing happens (0)
Ideally, you would want the +10k points from all 3 Control Panels (I am not sure if you can get more than that from a Control Panel). However, there's a catch to these Control Panels:
- The numbers generated by these Control Panels persist across failed attempts. That is, suppose you get 9 from the top Panel. If you want to change that, you will need to first complete an attempt on this map to reroll the number.
This makes it very frustrating to roll for the ideal Control Panel RNG, as you have to make a successful attempt on the map for every reroll.
Lastly, retreat/repair mechanics: none. You do not lose points for any repairs or retreats. That means the ideal strategy is to clear out all 27 enemies that aren't on the bottom row. Repair and retreat as many times as you need to get all 27 kills. Since you can repair and retreat as you please, you literally only need 1 strong echelon to take all 28 kills. M4ex works well, but a strong RFHG works too. For some of the enemies in the middle of the portal regions, you may need to retreat and redeploy a few times to get them.
Do take note that if you do not kill all enemies in the top half on Turn 1, you will need a Para to reach those enemies from Turn 2 onwards. This is because your top Heliport gets surround captured by Red, and you have no way of preventing that from happening. Enemies also become stronger on Turn 2.
Then, once you've taken all 27 kills, take your final kill from a bottom row enemy. Which one? Obviously the one with the highest points, duh. Retreat as needed until you get the right roll.
If you get lucky, you can get the theoretical score cap of 154600. That will require triple +10k points from all 3 Control Panels.
Run results:
Score: 129600
Kills: 28
Retreats: 20
