[Girls' Frontline] Theater 10 Core 6 - The Prototype Fairy No HOC Challenge
Welcome back to the scheduled event of "how many random ass dolls did you raise?". Yep, it's Core 6 time again. Time to show off your 3* MGSG collection!
Like all other strongholds, Core 6 is an Electronic stage. The objectives here are:
- Clear the stage
- Have at least 1 MG in combat echelon
- Have no HGs in combat echelon
MGs and SGs are advantaged today, and HGs are disadvantaged today. SF HOCs get a 2x multiplier today.
The Battlefield Effects of this stage are:
- The highest HP doll gets 50% damage reduction
- Every 15 seconds, reduce a random doll's stats by 50%
- Everytime a skill is used, increase it's cooldown by 100%
Each objective gives 3k points, and there are 6 waves in Core 3, and this totals up to 54k. You can get up to 45873 CE today, so this totals up to a maximum of 99873 points.
The ideal CE stack contains:
- 18 SG 7 MG for full unoathed, 16 SG 8 MG 1 AR for full oath
- Dreamer, Architect and Destroyer as HOCs
Let's talk about equipment. You will need the following equipment:
- Armor Plate and Taclights for every SG that isn't using their SPEQ
- Slug/Flash ammo for most SGs not using their SPEQ. Exceptions are Minos and LTLX who use Buckshot
- SLAP ammo, RMR and Ammo Boxes for all MGs that do not use SPEQs
So, what happens if you lack equipment?
- SLAP: 500+ CE loss if you use gold AP ammo. Your MGs' CE will die without SLAP ammo. If you lack SLAP ammo, your stack will be mostly SGs
- RMR: Around 100 CE loss compared to Scope/Red Dot
- Ammo Boxes: Another 300 CE loss per MG kekw
- Flash/Slug: Around 50-100 CE if you use Buckshot instead
- Taclights: Around 50-100 CE loss if you use Red Dots instead
- Red Dots: Oh dear, this is at least another 50-100 CE loss per SG (depends if you cope with Holo or Scope)
- Armor: Another 300 CE loss per SG
So yeah, Core 6 will truly test your equipment collection.
Now, the fights are mostly straightforward. The first 5 waves have at least one of these:
- Pyxis
- Gunners
- Aceso's Flasks
You can efficiently tank these with 2 SGs. Stacking your SGs with armor tiles and armor aura from fairies will prolong your SGs' survivability. If your SGs are equipping Flash ammo, even better! They probably will never die.
The first 5 waves are so easy, any MGSG with Flash Ammo will beat those waves with Prototype No HOC. Wave 6, however, poses a challenge. Some tips on handling Judge will be in the pinned comment.
Now, suppose you are trying the Prototype Fairy No HOC challenge with a full CE stack (or at least, your best CE stack). You will need to stall Judge, which means you need armor tiles. Doing this with the optimal CE stacks will be close to impossible, because you only have 2 MGs with armor tiles: MG4 Mod and Bar Mod. Thankfully, I run a suboptimal MGSG stack that contains both Lewis and Ameli. This allowed me to build a decent armor stacking MGSG with the following dolls:
- Lewis, Ameli and MG4 Mod for armor tiles
- FP-6 and KSG. Not the best SG choices, but they're probably the best SGs I have for this task. If you raised RMB Mod and LTLX, they would be better choices here.
To beat Wave 6, I needed to go through these:
- I need to kill all the Swap Brutes without taking too much damage on my SGs. That took a few tries to get it right. MGs can take some damage, it does not really matter
- Then, I need to move any available MG to the front column. For the successful attempt, I managed to bring my 3-link Ameli to the front column. Ideally, I would've brought a 5-link Lewis forward, but RNG said no
- Then, for the rest of the Judge fight, I will need to pray that the SGs do not receive the random debuff too often. The SGs here have stacked enough armor to fully tank Judge's Phase 2 attacks. Therefore, as long as an MG gets debuffed, I will never die. The fight just takes freaking forever. Luckily, I managed to get an attempt where the SGs barely get debuffed throughout a 5 minute fight. Turns out a 3-link Ameli is very meh DPS.
And with this, I have Prototype No HOC cleared every stage except Advanced 8 and Core 8. Forget about the stupid Advanced 8. As for Core 8, I will attempt to complete the Prototype No HOC challenge tomorrow.
