On May 10, 2019, Wither Studios released Part One of their 2.5D sidescrolling psychological horror game, IMMURE. The game uses excellent sound quality, an interesting art style, and a bit of cheese (the Safe Room, anyone?) to tell the story of a man driven to find answers. As Part One, it appears the game will be episodic in nature.

Controls are somewhat different than normal sidescrollers, given the number of unique or unusual gameplay elements. A and D walk from side to side, E examines something in a room, and Space interacts. LMB takes an object (or makes a choice in certain menus) while RMB is used to close something you've opened (like closing an open drawer). While armed with a gun, RMB is also used for aiming, and LMB will shoot the weapon. T will activate your trapezohedron; pressing and releasing the key will create a pulse to reveal hidden things, while holding the key for a bit and then releasing it creates a shock wave that can stun enemies.

When Will, the protagonist, finds himself trapped in a strange Mansion with no exit, he starts wandering around, traveling through strange doors to find a way out. Unfortunately, those doors often lead to other dimensions, dimensions with tormented souls not terribly keen on Will's arrival. How can Will get out of the cursed building?
