Key Concept: Monsoon
- Differential heating and cooling of land and water: At the end of May, due to high temperature, low - preseure area is found on the landmass and sea/oceans experiences comparatively higher temperature.
- Shift in the position of Inter Tropical Convergence zone (ITC2): In summer, ITCZ or low preserre trough is shifted its position over the Ganga plain. It is also known as moneoon trough during monsoon reason.
