Glorious FOX Switch Typing Sounds Tests... In THREE Different Keyboards!
Here's my thoughts on the Glorious Fox switches, per board:
KBD67 Lite: Most plastic-y sounding, but VERY deep! Polycarb on Polycarb makes for a board that doesn't carry sound several miles down the road, especially toned down with silicone case insert; use of stock case foam would yield a less muted sound. PBT Cherry profile caps drive home a clean sound and feel.
Carina: Impressed with acoustic clarity on an Aluminum plate, probably one of the best switches to use in a Carina next to Gateron Milky Cap Yellows IMHO. Purple Boom's unique plastic formulation and taller profile offer deeper tones to what is otherwise a bright and crisp board.
GMMK PRO: Most heavily modified board in my arsenal, but with the biggest expression of sound. Tape mod + FR4 + Blue Glacial Lake = BIG SOUND! Blue Glacial Lake, as well as other fully Opaque Cubic profile caps, have a way of teasing out ANY acoustic inconsistencies with switches: Fox switches could use a bit of help on the springs, depending on parts combinations used. I may re-visit the switches later down the road, but spring ping isn't super audible unless you're really listening for it.
Huge thank you to Glorious for providing the GMMK2 these switches came in: https://youtu.be/B9pQ7T457js
