A Short Squeeze: A rapid increase in the price of a stock, primarily due to technical factors as opposed to fundamentals. A short squeeze can be caused by a lack of supply and excess of demand (see - retail investors buying up all the shares) due to short sellers buying to cover their positions.
I'm a bit into AMC and will be looking at joining as I see fit into this short squeeze, but it's especially cool to understand and follow along with. What do you think?
I feel like short positions are fine, but they should be COVERED short positions! Reasonable sized positions, not overextending a stock. What are your thoughts? What should future regulation on GME stock and other short calls look like in the future?
