566I was lucky enough to get my grubby hands on a copy of The Terrain Tutor's lovely finished encyclopedia of making tabletop terrain; Terrain Essentials. Here's the details from Dave Taylor about the project!
"Dave Says;
• Mel's Rules poster was a Kickstarter exclusive item available as an add-on. Contains all the rules Mel has written down over the years in his notebook. A number of these rules are also in TESS itself.
• Laminated Color Reference Card was also a Kickstarter exclusive add-on and features the colors that Mel uses on a regular basis for his standard terrain builds. You can mix your own colors and compare them on the card, before wiping them off, or you can get a local paint store to mix the colors for you.
• Signed Bookplate was sent to everyone who backed a physical book. Mel signed about 5500 of these, as signing the individual books would have been completely impractical.
• MiniMel. We ran about 10 months late on the project and I wanted some way to say thank you to our backers for their patience. I worked with Monster Fight Club to design and cast the mini and they went out for free to everyone who ordered a physical book. and those who backed the digital book could get one for the cost of shipping.
The book is now available from FLGS around the world. If your store is in the US they can order it from Alliance Game Distributors or from Bridge Distribution. If your store is outside of the US, they can order it from Warlord Games.
