241So recently, Niantic decided to completely disable Pokémon GO Plus functionality as a result of a bug related to Zorua. Naturally, this sparked an incredible amount of backlash from the Pokémon GO Community, as many players rely on these devices for their day-to-day play. There are also players who never use these devices who are pushing against said backlash.

By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.
