Go to Town for Red Coins - Super Mario 64 Walkthrough
9Wet-Dry World: Star #5
You have to go to the downtown section of the level. The easiest way to do this is to jump as high as you can into the Wet-Dry World painting to raise the water high enough to jump over the grate. Another way is to use the cannon.
The locations of the 8 red coins in the order I get them are:
#1 & #2 : Inside two boxes on the courtyard wall. (0:51)
#3: In a box on top of a building next to the first two. (1:05)
#4 & #5: Inside the boxes on top of the roofs of two buildings on the one side of the room. (1:17)
#6: In a box in front of the small house with a pole on top of it near the courtyard. (1:39)
#7: On top of the small house with the pole on it. (1:45)
#8: Inside a box on the roof of the building on the opposite side of the room as #4 & #5. (1:59)
