GO Transit and Tri-Rail's Situation Now
Happy National Train Day!
To quote Ray User from the GO Transit Discussion Server: "This decade really flipped everything on its head. Suddenly GO Transit is having foam resurgence, but at what cost?"
Recent months have truly changed the scene for both of these railroads. One thought to be the pinnacle of Old Cabs with K5LAs is planning a replacement, all while the railroad which was thought to have had all its cool stuff gone is bringing it back. Tri-Rail 503 has just returned to service (or it will very soon in real life), to see a much changed Tri-Rail since what it last ran on in 2019, with Rebuilt F40PHs, and a New Paint Scheme on the horizon, only to immediately be greeted by the announcement that will inevitably send it right to the scrapyard. All the while, GO Transit 206, once thought to be nothing more than a Deactivated Cab Car with nothing to say about it, and would be rebuilt and then Deactivated forever, renumbered into Coach 2906, has been fully Reactivated, and its mere existence is causing foam deluges all over the Greater Toronto Area. Literally any news involving 206 at all will make everyone excited like crazy.
