God Hand (HARD MODE) Part 41 FINALE, Final Boss Agna Defeated (PS2)
Around 5 hours 8 minutes for this stage. See all the time breakdowns and details below. This boss form took around 4 1/2 hours. Part of this was due to needing to use a shitty controller to continue playing the boss. My hands would be fatigued with all the button mashing required on failed attempts, so I used a rapid fire controller, but the controller has very bad analog sticks. Up dodges often turned into side steps and certain dodges didnt register sometimes.
I will show the game clear screen in the next video. It basically shows 999 deaths. Im assuming I maxed it out. The time is inaccurate since it runs while paused. Ill calculate and provide that here in this description. An estimate. I also reloaded a save after dying alot on Agna, so theres alot of deaths missing, but Im assuming 999 is the max of the counter.
Elvis 1 was the longest section for me, taking me 6 hours on that one fight. Strange being that I blazed through most of the game, after stage 1, including many very hard parts. "Blazed" being relative to that first stage with took me 13 hours alone. That was by far the hardest stage for me. I found it easier with more moves and health later on, despite fighting much harder and many more enemies at once.
The parts that took me the longest were the two section of the elvis mansion at 2 hours each, and then elvis himself in his first form at 6 hours. I did alot of item farming so that was part of my wasted time and deaths. Should have just fought him head on sooner and learned it sooner.
The pyramid room was another very hard one. I believe that took over an hour. Also the pit may have taken over an hour. I listed the times in each video. It was rare for any one boss or checkpoint to approach 2 hours after the first level. So this game is not even remotely close in difficulty to something like titan in God Of War 2. I was expecting something more extreme, but it was because of my early impressions of the first level years ago.
I classified this game as BRUTAL for the brutal games series based on my experience in 2008 with the hard mode on the first level only. Now having beaten the game I would say it meets that criteria on the first stage for sure. After that it didnt really live up, but a 13 hour first stage definately stands out, so Ill leave it in the Brutal Games Playlist.
Adding together all my estimated stage completion times (based on my recordings, not counting the town hub or pause screen) is 34 1/2 hours of play time.
So overall I would say this mode was pretty fuckin tough. Not as extreme as I was expecting, but also my skill levels and adaptability have improved alot since 2008, so that changes perception.
When I first played stage 1 on hard I had to lure enemies individually with taunts and could not fight them in groups of 2 or more without dying. I never really did end up using up dodging except for a few specific scenarios (bosses, one demon type). Ended up finding my own style and going through alot of the stages quickly. I was expecting this to be a much longer project.
Next video will show the clear screen , which just confirms the over 999 deaths I mentioned.
I will break down the time it took on a per stage basis in that video's description. This one is already getting too long.
Stay tuned !!
