God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original "God of War" game, developed by Ready at Dawn and released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2008. Players control Kratos, a Spartan warrior serving the Olympian gods, as he embarks on a quest to find the missing Sun God, Helios. The game's combat system focuses on combo-based mechanics using the Blades of Chaos, complemented by additional weapons and magic abilities acquired throughout the journey. Despite the PSP's hardware limitations, the game delivers impressive graphics and fluid gameplay, making it a standout title on the platform.
Upon its release, "Chains of Olympus" received critical acclaim for its technical achievements and engaging gameplay, becoming one of the highest-rated PSP titles. In 2011, it was remastered for the PlayStation 3 which is what I've used to review it.
