A rumour that Dwayne Johnson would be cast as Kratos in the upcoming God Of War TV show has been put to rest by the director of 2018's God of War.

The live-action adaptation would see the story of God Of War (2018) be retold through a TV show by Amazon Prime Video. The show is still in early stages of development, and there’s been no official word on who will be part of the cast, though many of the game’s cast are interested in returning.
