GODZILLA Vs KING KONG NBA 2020 All-Star Weekend SLAM DUNK CONTEST! “20 FOOT SELF ALLEY-OOP”
(Please excuse any grammar mistakes, this is a youtube description not an essay for my teachers. It's also 3 am)
Let me start off by saying this. To all of the families (and friends of families) that were affected by this tragedy, I can't even imagine the pain you must be feeling. I had family members who were disconsolate and overall disheartened because of this incident. Not because of the celebrity status of Kobe Bryant, but because of the thought that families were broken due to this catastrophe. I feel that we (those not connected directly to the victims) have all been rocked to our cores. But for me, just the thought of those directly affected having to suffer the aftermath of this accident is something I can’t get over.
When it comes to Kobe Bryant, the light of my generation. Growing up in LA I got to witness Kobe Bean Bryant slay the beast that was the big three Celtics, and dominate an entire era in a way that very few have in NBA history. Kobe Bryant was the reason I stopped playing basketball. I saw and heard about his dedication to the sport, and although I as/am good at Basketball, I knew that I was nowhere near as passionate as Kobe Bryant. I know what you’re thinking, it's hard to compare your passion for something to KOBE BRYANT. But here's the thing, the reason I compared my passion to Kobe Bryant is because I wanted to be better than Kobe. Not necessarily in basketball, but in whatever it is that I chose to do. I wanted to be able to say “Not even Kobe can beat my work ethic”. This is a mentality that I learned from watching Kobe for so many years. Here I am now at 21 and I can honestly say that the lessons I learned from watching Kobe be Kobe for so many years has helped mold me into the worker and person I am now. I have an insane amount of stories that would help paint a picture of how big of an impact Kobe's legacy had on me growing up. But there’s simply not enough time in the night for me write them all. But one more major thing Kobe taught me was supreme confidence I believe I can literally do anything, Its because of this mentality that I have grown into a great leader but an even better learner The things I don’t know how to do I take the time to learn
You know what, I could honestly go on forever. But this is already getting too long and I don’t know how many characters I have left in this description. But ill leave this essay on this last note. Personally I was excited to see what Kobe’s daughter was going to do for the WNBA. I saw her skill, she was doing things that 13 year olds simply aren’t doing. I was excited to see her become a future pioneer for women's basketball alongside Kobe.
