Going 2 Fast 2 Furious in Lego 2K Drive
We gave this game a spin last week, and I honestly wasn’t all that impressed. I’m giving it one last shot on stream this week in the hopes it came sort of redeem itself with some of the different modes and features we’ve unlocked. Let’s keep our fingers crossed some good comes about, as this may be the first Lego Game I’ve played that I’ve actively disliked otherwise.
We’ve done some racing, some side quests, and some sightseeing. The Lego roads aren’t enough to hold us as we build and morph our design, brick by brick, to match the terrain. While there are a number of things that I feel the game deserves praise for, the driving controls feeling like they could be used on The Batmobile in a future Lego DC game, or even paving the way for a Lego Fast and Furious (though unlikely since they aren’t a property). So, while we spend some more time on the roads, testing the good and bad, maybe we’ll find somethings the next Lego game can borrow to enhance itself further.
Come see the second and likely final stream for Lego 2K Drive, and we’ll put it all to the test to see just where this game stands by the end of our few streams with it.
