How does one get this Acheivement/Trophy?
The first thing you need to know is how the attack itself works.
Gravitic Flux's Area of Effect
When Sigma triggers the ultimate on an AoE (Area of Effect), all enemy players caught in the AoE will be raised into the air. The exceptions to this are as follows, and any enemy caught in the following circumstances will not be 'caught' by Sigma's ultimate:
1) Enemies caught in teammate Zarya's Graviton Surge
2) Enemies who have been frozen by Mei's regular fire, or Mei's Blizzard
3) An enemy stuck in Junkrat's trap.
There may be other exceptions, but these are the major ones that have been experienced by me personally.
Sigma's Ultimate goes through ALL shields
This means that the shields of Brigitte, Orisa, Reinhardt, an enemy Sigma and Winston do not block the AoE placement for Sigma's Ultimate. Sigma's AoE placement works identically to Doomfist's Meteor Strike Ultimate placement.
How the Damage Works
There are two damage-dealing points during the ultimate.
The first damage dealt is a flat, solid 50HP damage to all characters caught in the AoE. This is Always the same, no matter who the enemy is. This occurs when they enemies are lifted into the air (or hit a ceiling) by Sigma's Ultimate.
The second damage dealt is a guaranteed 50% of Enemy's Max HP when the Ultimate slams the enemies into the ground. This count disregards armor and Shield Effects. Whatever the total 'MaxHP' of the enemy, that's what it works on.
E.g. Roadhog has 600HP. The downwards motion of Sigma's Ultimate does 300 damage to Roadhog.
Bastion has 300HP. The downward's motion of Sigma's Ultimate does 150 damage to Bastion.
If Roadhog has a Brigitte Armor pack health extension, this would bring his total Max HP up to 675HP temporarily. This means that Sigma's Ultimate would do 337.5HP damage to Roadhog.
If an enemy Lucio triggers their Sound Barrier ultimate, this gives allied players inside Lucio's Sound Barrier's AoE an extra 750HP of temporary shields. This means that, if a Roadhog has these shields at the moment of the downwards momentum's impact, he would have a total of 1,350HP. Sigma's downwards motion of the Ultimate would do 675HP damage to Roadhog.
Best times to use this Ultimate:
Another thing that should be mentioned, is that whilst Sigma has the enemies in the air (after the upwards motion of the ultimate, but before the downwards motion of the ultimate), he can move them in the air slightly. I'd estimate that if Sigma is the centre-point of an imaginary circle, and the enemies in the air are right in front of him, he could move the enemies in the air approximately 45 degrees to the left or right.
This is enough to be able to send the enemies down into a 'pit' or 'death barrier' outside of the map, without them being able to a single thing to stop it. Excellent chances to use this ability are during the second half of the second point of Eichenwalde, around the first capture point of Paris, near the very end of the third payload objective on King's Row, the capture point in Meka Base in Busan, around the Well in the Well capture point of Ilios, and definitely the inside Shrine of Nepal, where the entire side of the capture point is one giant pit.
Remember, the achievement says 'A single use'. What this means is during ONE ultimate. So it counts killing blows done by BOTH the upwards movement of the Ultimate, and the downwards movement of the Ultimate, as a single use. So you could get 1 kill from the upwards movement, and 2 kills from the downwards movement, and it would still pop the achievement.
