Would going Medieval on zombies work well?
In this video I propose yes, medieval weapons came in all shapes and sizes and were generally pretty good at "Removing the head or destroying the brain".
I'd argue maces, war-hammers, war-picks, polearms and some swords would work exceptionally well against slow moving zombies, couple those weapons with modern riot armour and you would be both mobile and dangerous.
Of course zombies are totally theoretical so we will never really know.
