Gojo vs. Irma (Jujutsu Kaisen vs. W.I.T.C.H.)
88W.I.T.C.H. is a French-American animated television series based on the Italian comic book series of the same name. The animated series was produced by SIP Animation in association with and with participation from Jetix Europe, The Walt Disney Company and France Télévisions. W.I.T.C.H. premiered December 18, 2004 and concluded on December 23, 2006 in the U.S., where it aired on ABC Kids and the Jetix blocks on ABC Family and Toon Disney. Reruns have also aired on Disney Channel.
The show follows five girls – Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin – who have respective magical powers over the classical elements quintessence, water, fire, earth and air, which they use to fulfill their duties as Guardians of the Veil. The names of these five characters form the titular acronym, despite the characters not actually being witches. The show takes place in the fictional city of Heatherfield and various mythical worlds, primarily Meridian.
The second generation of legendary Guardians of the Veil – Wilhelmina "Will" Vandom, Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Cornelia Hale and Hay Lin – must save planet Meridian from the evil Prince Phobos and Lord Cedric, who are searching for the tyrannical prince's younger sister, the long-lost princess of Meridian and true heir to the throne.
Irma Lair is a fictional character in the W.I.T.C.H. comics and the TV series of the same name. She is one of the five teenage girls who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Kandrakar. Their mission is to protect Kandrakar, the center of the magical universe, and the other planets from evil.
Irma is a 13 year old teen, who is in eighth grade in season 1, and ninth grade in season 2 at Sheffield Institute. She has auburn, slightly wavy hair and greenish-blue eyes. Her birthday is March 13, and her sign is Pisces. She is voiced by Candi Milo.
As the Guardian of Water, Irma controls water as well as having other advanced powers. Her theme color is turquoise and her symbol is a blue wave crest.
Yuji Itadori is an unnaturally fit high school student living in Sendai. On his deathbed, his grandfather instills two powerful messages within Yuji: "always help others" and "die surrounded by people." Yuji's friends at the Occult Club attract Curses to their school when they unsealed a rotten finger talisman which Yuji swallowed to protect Megumi Fushiguro and their friends, becoming host to a powerful curse named Ryomen Sukuna. Due to Sukuna's evil nature, all sorcerers are required to exorcise him (and by extension, Yuji) immediately. But upon seeing Yuji retaining control over his body, Megumi's teacher Satoru Gojo brings him to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School with a proposal to his superiors: postpone Yuji's death sentence and train under Gojo until he consumes all of Sukuna's fingers so the Curse can be completely destroyed. At the same time, a group of cursed spirits plot a multi-layered attack on the world of jujutsu sorcery, including the cursed spirit Mahito, whose technique "Idle Transfiguration" can reshape the soul of any human, and a reincarnated sorcerer named Suguru Geto, who was "killed" by Gojo a year ago. At the exchange event between the Tokyo and Kyoto jujutsu schools, the Kyoto school's principal want Yuji dead immediately, while others side with Gojo to keep him alive. Gojo and Geto failed to protect a young girl from Toji Fushiguro, Megumi's father, an assassin from the Zenin clan. Geto decides the world must be cleansed of non-sorcerers so no more cursed spirits can manifest.
The disfigured Kyoto Jujutsu Tech second-year student Kokichi Muta, who pilots Mechamaru, is revealed to be a mole. Geto and the cursed spirits lay a screen over Shibuya. Various sorcerers arrive at the scene to fight them. Gojo fights off cursed spirits and exorcise Hanami, but was sealed away by Geto in Prison Realm. The event also confirms that Geto is dead, his corpse possessed by an evil ancient sorcerer named Kenjaku. Yuji and their allies face Kenjaku's forces with both sides suffering losses, Gojo still trapped. As the incident ends, Kenjaku reveals that he has been jumping from body to body for thousands of years and implanted Binding Vows, which in turn awakens thousands of new sorcerers throughout Japan including Tsumiki. He then releases many curses onto Japan, the first step into creating chaos and a world of cursed spirits like the Heian period.
Satoru Gojo (五ご条じょう悟さとる Gojō Satoru?) is one of the main protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and widely recognized as the strongest in the world. Satoru is the pride of the Gojo Family, the first person to inherit both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in four hundred years. He works as a teacher at the Tokyo Jujutsu High and uses his influence to protect and train strong young allies.
