Golden Axe is an old school, classic beat 'em up game that came out in arcades in 1989, produced by SEGA. It's a really short game with not much replay value since all the characters play almost exactly the same. There are nine stages that eventually lead to the final boss against Death=adder.

The game is slightly unfair in that, whenever you attack an enemy, there is always a guarantee that another enemy will get an attack in on you, completely overriding your attack.

You can also ride creatures like dragons, but doing so is easier said than done, as when you get on a creature's back, every enemy around you instantly become extremely aggressive, and they will stop at nothing to knock you off that creature so that they can use it against you.
