Golden Sun: The Lost Age is the direct sequel to the first game. It's essentially more of the same, except the game is much bigger this time around. If you loved the first game, you'll love this one. If you didn't like the first one, this one is unlikely to change your mind.

I should probably write about Felix, Jenna, Sheba and Piers; Alex, Agatio, Karst and Kraden; and of course Isaac (Zupsi!), Ivan, Mia and Garet, but really, who hasn't heard of Golden Sun at this point? It's a gorgeous looking GBA-game (though not so much on the Game Boy Player), it boasts fantastic music, and it has a pretty expansive story. The puzzles are the game's DNA, and how could we forget the cute little djinns? Some of the dungeons are too long and confusing for my tastes, though. Limit on inventory size is also annoying.

Overall, Golden Sun is a pretty standard JRPG, gameplay-wise. But what it does, It does really well, and it left its mark on a generation of gamers. Recommended.
