This is probably the longest I've every talked in front of a camera before. The movie is long, and the book is even longer, so comparing the 2 took a lot. Not only for "filming" but also editing. I'm starting to find I have a tendency to trip over my words.

In a general sense, the book is pretty harsh. Playing into a lot of racial stereotypes, using language that would have been too much for 1939 movie audiences and even scenes that would have been considered inappropriate. Even in taking away the fangs of the book, the movie is pretty faithful to the source material. Though if you are writing a book report solely based off the movie, you'd probably get a C+, as there are some scenes that only exist in the movie.

All the same, I hope I was able to keep this video interesting. For those joining me for the Book reviews, my next one will be The Great Gatsby. Until next time, keep having fun.
