Here's an interesting rhetorical comment related to consoles and PC gaming.

"If every current Steam only game was to come to both Xbox and PlayStation, give me a good reason to go to Steam other than PC power narrative."

Yeah, most of those games will be older games that require a mouse and keyboard, but let's assume that consoles can run them with a mouse and keyboard and all the Steam-only games go to consoles. Here's the best feature that Steam and PC easily trump consoles on: Free cloud save and free online. Seriously, why do you consoles still pay for that?

Personally, I use my PC for work nowadays, which I cannot do on a console. I use my PC to emulate retro games, which I also cannot do on a console. I also sail the seas for my games because I'm broke, and I'd rather spend my money on hardware rather than games. If I'm in a console, I have to buy my games, and even so, when PSN goes out, which it did as you PlayStation gamers are painfully aware of, at least I can still play my PC games offline when I grab them from the seas.

Okay, that's not a Steam-only feature, but that's another thing. Steam isn't the only gaming platform on PC. You can also install DRM-free games from GOG or cracked pirated copies of those games and play them completely offline. You actually own those games rather than a license of the games that you have to verify to the console manufacturer networks that hopefully do not get out.

But hey, those are just my reasons. If you still think a console suits your needs fine, I don't blame you. I'll stick to my PC for now.
