With its new app, the mighty-mouse Chromecast has stepped up to streamers from the likes of Amazon, and Apple with a focus on content delivery. The app has been redesigned from the ground up, according to the company, both for Android and iOS. For content, that means that you can type or speak into your mobile device from the Chromecast main page, and search for shows and movies across platforms.

New partnerships allow the new Chromecast to show you what’s on, when it’s on, and where you can find it from a variety of players, including Netflix, Hulu, and even live sports apps like WatchESPN. The app is also clever enough to know what you’ve got on your device, so it only shows you what’s on with the apps you’ve installed.
