Vertiv, an Ohio-based provider of equipment and services for data centers, had a data problem: their traditional SIEM limited how much data they could ingest and how long they could retain it. This led to the security operations team not having all the data it needed to conduct sound investigations and preventing it from doing its real job: efficiently detecting and responding to threats. Vertiv upgraded to the cloud-native Chronicle Security Operations suite, which allowed the company to scale up logging by 220%, close three-times as many cases, and reduce investigation time by 50% --- all while maintaining the same level of internal resources.
