By default, Brave, the privacy-focused browser, will now use its own search engine. Through the browser’s address bar, the change will affect which search engine is used. The company will replace Google in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Google’s default search engine, Brave Search, has been renamed Brave Search. The browser has such a small market share that it doesn’t compete with established competitors like Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Opera. To improve their results, users can now opt-in to a new opt-in system.
