Google Web Designer Bug Fix Ubuntu - Can't Install Or Update - gconftool-2 not found
In this video I quickly show you a bug and a fix for an issue after installing Google Web Designer software in Linux (ubuntu Budgie). After installation the software worked but I was unable to install any software or perform any updates in the Software Center or the terminal even after reboot. In reading through the error I found this workaround:
sudo apt-get install gconf2
Gnome Configuration Database
https://www.google.com/webdesigner/
Error: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127. Errors were encountered while processing.
/var/lib/dpkg/info/google-webdesigner.postinst:46 /var/lib/dpkg/info/google-webdesigner.postinst: gconftool-2: not found
I am guessing it is based around missing dependencies but if you understand the error I would love to have more information on it in the comments.
