Gosun reflectors rust?!
140Gosun please consider helping by sending us new reflector as this is no where in the manual or on the website but its understandable that you havent tested cleaning it regularly with water, maybe you always used a glass cleaner? Im curious what kind of reflector spray stuff you guys put on this and how long it lasts when cleaned regularly with glass cleaner. Im also wondering what kind of a natural solvent might give closest results to your recommended commercial cleaning solvent.
I used soap and water pressure without ever scrubbing it with anything for years i think thats the problem is that the sprayed on reflective layer on the steel has been permiated by the water washings so its rusting under the layer of spray on reflector. I think they say its nano layers of a proprietary spray on reflector or maybe thats the Sunplicity? Solution is to not let it get wet??
Im leaving the door open for comments on this one until we can find a longterm solution for everybody to be able to use these as a forever tool. Maybe gosun can make an actual mirror model thats slatted with strips of mirror at an angle to mimic the curvature of its reflector? Maybe i’ll have to do it myself?! Loops of gorillatape on the inside of the reflector to set the strips of mirror?! Sounds easy peasy if i just had some thin mirror and one of those little handheld roller/cutters that perforate glass that are only like $20, my paypal only has $17 right now until my Patreon deposit drops which is usually around the 4th-5th of the month.
