GOTY 2024 Refresher - Revisiting 14 of the Year's Best Games
0Every December I like to go back and revisit all the best of the games of the year so as to refresh myself and help me put my top 10 best of GOTY list in order. For this year, this was that stream! I pulled up 14 of the games I've been thinking about from the biggest best games that compete for 1st or 2nd (Astro Bot and Metaphor) to those who are competing just to get on the damn list (the 7 that followed those first two) and try to work out how I feel about them, what's good about them, what's bad about them and where they belong on my final top 10.
While there is one game (or perhaps 50 games hint hint) that is conspicuously absent from this stream on account of requiring its own damn stream for reasons, I got through everything else I had planned to hit up. All 14 games I came in hoping to play I played. Also, indeed, doing this helped me get my thoughts together, has brought some games up, has sent some games down. Which is particular? Watch and see. Or skip the end I guess.
There were some minor technical hurdles along the way as the games were spread across all consoles, PC and phone and that can be tricky. Also, I started out Astro Bot without making my camera as small as it usually is - sorry for any inconvenience. Finally, I'll say, disclaimer disclaimer, the top games here are the ones I'm considering for my list, games that I liked. You might like different games - this is normal. Please understand.
