So, when the end of the year rolls around and it comes time to write a great big Top 10 list of new games I like to revisit the games I've played throughout the year so as to refresh myself often as a big stream where I play a bunch of games. Problem is, there's one game that cannot be revisited so simply. One game that's actually 50 games. One game that needs its own dedicated refresher stream. That game is UFO 50 and that stream, well, this is the archive of it.

Basically, I went through each and every of the 50 games within UFO 50 and played a fair helping of each. Now, what constitutes a fair helping depended on the game and on what made sense in the moment, but I tried to play enough to satisfy me or at least enough to understand what the hell the game is. I don't love each game equally (and the tier list at the end can attest to this) but I tried to give each its time in the sun and to call out neat things about them even if they're particular thing isn't for me.

UFO 50 is a treasure, there's so much variety and so much hidden depth that honestly going into this stream it turns out there were quite a few whose true natures I did not understand and, honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if that remains true even now of some others. It is such an achievement and despite any talk of this game or that not satisfying I would heartily recommend the collection as a whole and put it in the same league as the best games of the year.
