GPU Utilization, Task Manager Lies - 2022-11-14
2Your GPU usage may not be as high as you think it is if you're using Windows Task Manager to check it. In the case of OBS, if launched without a game or something somewhat GPU intensive running, OBS will ramp up GPU usage to kick the card out of lower power states but once something with heavier requirements is launched GPU usage will drop.
In a tired state what should have been said is, it would be nice if Task Manager listed GPU P States or clock speeds along with utilization.
This is a long one but Stuey3D and I rant on... we do actually eventually make a point. (This talk was well over an hour long lol)
