I love playing Doom since I was 5. I still remember playing it on my old 386 PC. Back in the day, Doom graphics were pretty amazing, but nowadays with blazing fast processors, ultra-powerful video cards and modern OS, the good old Doom games aged pretty badly. I decided to assemble the "perfect gameplay mod" to enhance basic gameplay and graphic aspects of the game to improve its enjoyment with new stuff but always trying to stay as loyal to the original as possible.

So this PK3, essentially has:
* Brutal monsters by Sergeant_Mark_IV
* Eriguns edited by me. I upgraded the sounds, tweaked the damage they make, upgrade the animation speeds of the shotgun and pistol, and I also added bullet casings (only in the ballistic weapons such as the pistol, machine gun, gatlingun, and all 3 shotguns). I thought adding emply casings for the rocketlauncher, plasma rifle and BFG was pointless and ultimately made the game look ugly with all those huge boxes collected on the floor).
* Edited the difficulty levels and added one extra "Demonic Psychopath" skill level, with the names of Blood.
* HD background menus and credits.
* Light glow effects in collectible items such as helmets, health bottles. And glows in the monsters eyes and healthpacks so you can see them in the dark.
* Water is improved with splash effects from bullets, and jumps.
* Brightmaps and better textures, but i highly suggest to use an all separate HD texture pack if you are looking into some eye candy experience.
* Visor HUD available for widescreen monitors/tvs. You can turn it off simply by pressing - or =. If you dont like the big numbers of the HUD you can always change it into a more minimalistic and info detal display in the options menu. You can see what im talking about in the screenshots and gameplay video i uploaded.

INSTRUCTIONS
1) Just download the main game, say (Doom, doom2, plutonia, or TNT) iwads.
2) Download the latest version GZDOOM source port. (Zandronum is also usable, but i recommend gzdoom better).
3) Now download a launcher. I personally use ZDL launcher. Once in the program just configure the right paths for your iwads and source ports executables.
4) Now grab the GRABIMOD DENHANCER, extract the RAR file and you should have a PK3 file ready to use.
5) Now go back to ZDL Main tab, select the source port, select the iwad (i recommend using Doom2) and in the external files column select ADD and chose GRABIMOD DENHANCER. And click on launch.
6) if you are planning on playing megawads levels, i suggest you to put the megawads on top of my mod so that the mod always loads last, due that its a mere gameplay mod and some megawads could contain some extra tweaks that could mess the mod up. Enjoy.
