Gradius Origins Salamander 3 - 1CC ( 2 Loops/3-1)
15I finished 2 laps of the brand new Salamander 3. This was kinda messy but I really don't think gradius games are balanced around no-miss. This game feels like you have to stack up a ton of lives and then try to lap as much as you can. The game goes into turbo mode past lap 3, I think I'm spent for now.
Very good game, M2 did a great job with this one. Salamander 3 feels like a mix of Salamander 1 and 2. I really like the soundtrack with this one and it was a ton of fun to play, short and non stop action. I barely squeezed through and got 2 loops so I'm kinda satisfied at the moment. I do want to try playing more of the other gradius games so maybe I'll be uploading them too if I can get some decent runs.
If you are a fan of the Gradius series, I would pick up this collection. There's no noticeable input delay, everything feels responsive and clear. There's even trials and savestates and rewinding if you are trying to learn how to 1CC with multiple versions of the games. Though this collection does not include gradius 4 / 5 and Gaiden or GB nemesis games.
