Ah, Gran Turismo 3, one of my favorite games of all time. North America, Europe and Japan all use the same basic intro, just with different music featured.

This version features a remix of Are You Gonna Go My Way? by Lenny Kravitz; the Japanese version features the signature Gran Turismo theme Moon Over the Castle and the European version features Just a Day by Feeder.

Here's the intro captured straight from the PlayStation 2 upscaled to 1440p60 for the bitrate benefits. The way Gran Turismo 3 stores its videos is significantly different than most other games on the system; it actually stores two frames in one frame, if that makes sense. It's basically an interlaced system that doesn't work like conventional interlaced video, where two frames are stored in a 640x448 frame at 640x224, creating a lower-resolution image that looks smoother when played back at its proper frame rate.
