A hidden LAN function in Gran Turismo 5 was recently discovered by Jonny_0093 and co. (https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo...), allowing the game to be played online again over XLink Kai following the official PSN server shutdown in 2014.

Activating and using the LAN mode requires modding the game and loading it on a CFW (custom firmware) console.
