Another monthly update for Gran Turismo 7 has arrived and this time we got René Rast's championship-winning Audi RS5 Turbo DTM car for Group 2. The car was previously included in the underrated sim racing game RaceRoom. Here you can see the car in action in both games on Nürburgring GP, including cockpit and side-by-side views.

The 2019 Audi RS5 Turbo is the first modern DTM car in GT7 and it is placed in Group 2, together with the modern GT500 Super GT cars.

German driver René Rast was able to win the DTM championship with the car in both 2019 and 2020.

Personally I am a bit disappointed with the car in GT7, since it has big traction problems when coming out of very low speed corners like turn 1 on this track.

Anyway, I was once again able to record a nice direct comparison where I was able to hit almost identical lap times in both of the games. :)
