29:44 Game Completion Overview
The PGR games are arcade city track racing games and they always seemed pretty awesome but I never got to play them when they were new, since they are exclusive to Xbox. Now that I finally have access to them I am excited to discover them. However, as I can't run the original Xbox games without issues I am skipping the first two games for now and going straight into PGR 3. This game runs very well and it's a lot of fun for me, so I will actually record my full playthrough of the career mode.
The career events in PGR 3 are not restricted to a particular car class and the AI in races will use the same class as you, so you could go straight into the fastest car class from the beginning if you wanted to but I think it's more interesting to slowly work my way up, so I will try a few cars from each of the classes.
In this video I am doing championship 17 and 18 with Class A cars. The first championship consists of challenges in Tokyo and the second one consists of challenges in various locations.
In this video we are finally entering Class A, where I will be using the road car versions of many awesome Le Mans cars, starting with the Nissan R390 and the Panoz GTR-1 that are known from the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1998. The R390 can be found in quite a few games but the Panoz is very rarely featured as a road car version.
For the Tokyo championship I decided to pick a Japanese car with the R390 but this turned out to be a poor choice. Not only is it very hard to get this car to drift but the Speed Challenge turned out to be completely impossible with it, so for that event I switched back to the Joss from the previous video.
The Panoz on the other hand was a great choice for the second championship, since it is very good at drifting and also very powerful. At Le Mans 1998 the Nissan may have done better than the Panoz but in PGR 3 I can highly recommend giving the Panoz a try, while the R390 should only be used for races or event types like Overtake.
