24:39 Game Completion Overview
The PGR games are arcade city track racing games and they always seemed pretty awesome but I never got to play them when they were new, since they are exclusive to Xbox. Now that I finally have access to them I am excited to discover them. However, as I can't run the original Xbox games without issues I am skipping the first two games for now and going straight into PGR 3. This game runs very well and it's a lot of fun for me, so I will actually record my full playthrough of the career mode.
The career events in PGR 3 are not restricted to a particular car class and the AI in races will use the same class as you, so you could go straight into the fastest car class from the beginning if you wanted to but I think it's more interesting to slowly work my way up, so I will try a few cars from each of the classes.
In this video I am doing championship 7 and 8 with Class D cars. The first championship consists of challenges in various locations and the second one consists of challenges in London.
The London Cone Challenges were some of the hardest events in the game so far and the Drift Challenge was actually very annoying. I tried for quite a while to beat it with a smooth drift but I just wouldn't get enough points that way due to not getting a multiplier. Then I did this rather ugly run and suddenly beat it straight away. The Overtake event on the other hand was too easy and may have been balanced for a slower car class.
One interesting thing about PGR 3 is that it features a lot of obscure cars that can not be found in a lot of other racing games. I will try to focus on these cars in my playthrough.
In this video I am using two further somewhat obscure cars with the Callaway C12 and the Noble M14. Callaway is mainly known for their highly customized Corvettes and the C12 was featured in Gran Turismo 4-6 but the brand has never been in Forza. Noble cars can be found in a lot of Forza games but they have never been in Gran Turismo or NFS.
