Grandia II Anniversary Collection Playthrough: Almost Beginning to Roan

I seem to have problems finding where to go. I forgot about the controls before I could even remember the camera controls. Up to saving Roan.
REALLY IMPORTANT FOR SPEEDRUNNING. (Not sure if that's what I'm doing. Just think the Spiders battles are inconsequential and take up too much time.

I'm hoping the Spider Web was a rare drop. It'd be really cool if it even was something like a No Materia FF7 run where you can only get it at the beginning of the game.
(I don't believe you can go back to that castle, but being a Grandia noob, what do you care what I think?) XD
I'm really happy with my canyon run albeit I got one really unneccessary encounter.
I think most item drops are inconsequential so just take direct paths.
