GTAV (unmodded) is maxed aside from no AA, no motion blur or depth of field (because I don't like either effect), and none of the experimental "advanced" graphics options.

FFXV is maxed aside from no AA (FFXV only supports FXAA and TAA, both of which smear the image), filtering at low (this also prevents image blur), and no motion blur (because I don't like the effect).

In regards to the "foliage flicker" from FFXV...

When the image is blurred (as it would be in the console versions or if you use FXAA or TAA in the PC version) this is harder to notice.

At the higher Shadow settings available to PC users, the shadows do end up looking worse on foliage because of all the foliage movement being drawn on the shadows, which creates that flicker effect. If you set the shadows low enough to disable shadows on foliage, it looks better. Console versions don't have the foliage shadows so you don't get the flicker, due to the blur it's also a lot more difficult to notice foliage movement when in motion but I don't know how many people would actually care about that.

GTAV however you can max the shadows and you don't get the flicker effect.
