This is a quick video to show how to go inside the 8,000 point planet.

To do the trick: position yourself right under the vertex that protrudes over the cutaway at the top of the planet.
You will know you are in the right place if your shots go right through the point where the two lines meet - not slightly to the left or right . While shooting, drop slowly and you will pass through the wall if you are at the right place. Its easier than it look.

When I played this game in the 80's I did that trick but on the levels with inverted gravity. It is much easier because you can shoot at an intersection of the wall and if your bullets go through, you can follow them. You can do this at any intersection of vectors, but it is easier with intersection greater or equal 180 degrees.

I may post a more complete video eventually.

I cannot TAS this game (for now) because of a problem with the save states that when loaded is not perfectly where the save was made :( I have many questions about this trick that I want to test but I cannot test easily until I can TAS it.
