Gravity Circuit: Part 20: Full Gauntlet (for the Ultimate Blend)
Besides the Stained Purple Palette Chip, there's a second extra one that becomes obtainable after beating the final boss.
The only way to get this Palette Chip is to rematch against every single major boss in the game via the Combat Memory Bank room. This will show itself whether you face every boss separately or through one of the two available Gauntlets.
So I decided to make this a smooth cruise and go for a Full Gauntlet.
----------
In the Full Gauntlet, every major boss is fought in the intended and official game order. This really just matters with the 8 Rebel Circuits, but no one before nor after them.
This also means that after fighting the Rebel Circuits this way, you'll then have to fight Nega, then you'll have to fight the Circuit Crystal in each and ALL of its Rebel forms again, and then you fight the brainwashed Kernel again before finishing things off with a rematch against the evil Commander Circuit.
You will regain health and some Burst Energy from each fight up until the final boss. The game also allows you to use your alternate ways to do the same (such as using Emergency Heal).
----------
One way or another, after beating every boss again, you get the final Palette Chip in the game: P011.
Bring this to Prim, and then you can pay her to create the strongest alt color in the game: Ultimate Blend.
The Ultimate Blend gives Kai a bolder shade of Red than his default Heroic Red. This will give him the enhancements of ALL OTHER PALETTES!:
Heroic Red's additional Burst Energy gain.
Hot-Headed Red's Float Beam maneuver.
Draining Gray's Melee Burst health drain.
Floating Blue's air dashes/midair slides.
Electrifying Green's lightning shots.
Speedy Teal's increased movement speed and longer slide.
Playful Blue's damaging pirouette jumps.
Heavy Orange's weightier drops and longer Hookshot.
Scheming Pink's warp technique.
And even Stained Purple's block hurling and Burst boosting abilities!
Ultimate Blend's one and only drawback is that you take more damage with it... because Fading Onyx was also blended into this. I suspected this whole time that Fading Onyx ONLY exists just to give Ultimate Blend some kind of weakness.
BUUUUUUUUT... It's a weakness that could easily be overcome. The enemies can't hurt you if you don't even let them touch you, right?
The last thing I wanna do with this game for now is try out Ultimate Blend in the other Gauntlets I hadn't shown off, yet. Stay tuned for that!
