This presentation demonstrates 2D visualization of magnitudes and direction of arrival as generated from small phased arrays using a delay-and-sum beamformer. By using raster plots it’s possible to view both direction of arrival and magnitude for all steering weights simultaneously. While DOA with GNU Radio is a well-trodden topic, the approach demonstrated offers a novel, if simple and beginner-level, approach to it.
