In a very surprising announcement, Nacon announced a sequel to action RPG GreedFall this week - called GreedFall II: The Dying World. From French studio Spiders (The Technomancer, Of Orcs and Men, Bound By Flame, Mars: War Logs). News came out of Nacon's Bigben Week event.
The first GreedFall released in Sep 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One selling 2m copies - and received a next-gen update in 2021.
GreedFall II: The Dying World is scheduled for 2024 for consoles and PC, and is a prequel that takes place three years before the events of the first game. Instead of the De Sardet family, you play as a Teer Fradee native taken by force to an island called Gacane. The island is also afflicted with the Melichor plague (a major plot from the first game). Will feature locations such as a Bridge Alliance "city of stars" called Olima.
Spiders are currently wrapping up SteelRising, due out Sep 8 2022 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X). New story trailer revealed this week as part of Bigben week.
