Greedfall: First Boss (Unknown Creature)
1Still not used to the combat commands, and playing on hard difficulty, so sorry for the slow play.
My 2 cents on the game:
For a long time I didn't knew what to compare Greedfall with. It's not a Witcher 3, even less a Skyrim. But I've finally realized: It's much more closely related to Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines. Their strong and weak spots are the same: While playing, you kinda ignore all those npcs just standing there doing nothing to "populate" the cities, all the copy+pasted house interiors and repetitive enemies... You ignore all those flaws for a rich and well-written story, with meaningful choices that lead you to multiple endings. A true tabletop RPG translated to videogame.
The problem is that Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines was released in 2004 and Greedfall in 2019... Which is a pity, but nevertheless, it's still a good game to play if you're into RPG. It is not an action RPG with liberty to do anything you like, it's a story-driven game that'll be awesome if you're willing to ignore the low-budget aspect of it (just like Bloodlines, the map is divided in sectors that'll open up as you progress the main story, and each sector has lots to do).
Final verdict: I almost asked for reimbursement after playing the game for 2 hours, but after 5 hours I'm finally enjoying it. I definitely love VtM - Bloodlines and the moment I started seeing this game with the same glasses, I started to love Greedfall.
