This is what democracy looks like under Capitalism. Amazon has suspended its expansion plans in Seattle which would have created 7000 new jobs. Because they dont want to pay a new local tax that would help homeless people in the area, the tax was approved by democratic city council vote, representing the will of the people in the area. Homless people in Seattle area are dying on a daily basis without shelter, statistics proof.
One of the reason because of the many homeless people is the fact that Amazon HQ is located in Seattle driving prices to go up.
