Beta Faction - The Hand of Ruk
This video will show you on how to make the epic unit for Beta.
Here is how it goes:
1. Make large hub
2. Place two large war factories on sides
3. Place all 4 upgrades
4. You will have option to build Hand Ruk
Details About Hand of Ruk:
The Hand of Ruk floats above the ground, equipped with a nuclear weapon that deals a massive punch at a huge range. The range and damage is far larger than any other unit in the game but it has a draw-back: The weapon cannot be fired at anything like close range. There is some compensation for that, in that the Hand of Ruk has six "turret hard points" (like wall pillars), which can be equipped with units that can mount walls; the Commando, the Predator and the Guardian tank. Those units can provide some close range protection and Anti-Air, which the Hand of Ruk otherwise lacks. The mounted units do count towards the population count though, so if all of the hard points are filled, the Hand of Ruck is likely to have a population count of 86.
The Hank of Ruk also serves as a mobile factory and can make any ordinary Beta ground unit, two at a time. You can use that factory to fill the hard points once the Epic unit is built, if you're pushed. Although it floats above the ground, the Hand of Ruk is a ground unit, so it can be repaired in a Repair Bay just like other Beta ground units.
To make a Hank of Ruk, you'll need a large hub with two large factories and one of each of the four Tech Attachments attached to it. Those are sacrificed when you make unit. In order to get to the stage that you can put all of that together, you will have already have to have made a small and medium hub so that you can build the large hub and a small factory and tech attachment to that you can build the large factories.
Make it fit!
Don't forget that you need to put the large factories at the far ends of the hub. If you don't, you won't be able to fit all of the necessary attachments on the hub and you'll be stuck.
Once you've assembled all of the requisites, you can start making your Hand of Ruk. The process costs 6000 credits and takes five minutes (300 seconds). Once you start, you can no longer build from either of the large factories.
